Forward Is Forward

The Pollyanna Plan blog has just celebrated its 3rd birthday. Wow, I can’t quite believe it! So much has happened over the past 3 years. I’ve made some big changes, I’ve had a few setbacks, wonderful things have happened, lovely people have come into my life and above all, I’ve learnt so very much.

One of my biggest lessons is not to judge progress by speed. Recently I’ve been experiencing a few niggling health setbacks and it’s all too easy to think I’m going backwards, that nothing ever changes. But really, when I cast my mind back to a few years ago, I see just how far I’ve come.

The wonderful quote, “your speed doesn’t matter, forward is forward” seems so fitting for life right now. 🙂

So, whatever you’re going through at the moment, whether you’re overcoming obstacles or working towards goals, take some time today to remind yourself of how brilliantly you are doing, of how far you have come and, whatever happens, keep going. Even if you’re only taking tiny, tiptoe steps, even if you stumble from time to time, forward is forward and that’s the direction in which we’re all heading.

Forward my friends! 🙂

  1. Great post! Such an important sentiment, remember how far we’ve come and appreciate that. So easy to let it get forgotten in times of struggle. And baby steps are still progress, no matter how teeny they may be its still moving forward. So sorry to hear you’ve been having some health issues resurface, hope you’re doing okay. Jx

    1. Thanks Jess. 🙂 I’ve been going through a bit of a blip, but nothing I can’t handle. I’m reminding myself of all the amazing progress I’ve made and I’m looking forward to all the progress that’s ahead. 😀 Hope you’re doing well. xx
