A Great Big Hunk Of Driftwood – Day 308 of The Pollyanna Plan

Remember how a few weeks ago my Mum and I were discussing the thrilling possibility of going to Australia this winter?

Well, we’ve been doing a lot of research and in Perth (where we have family), the price of accommodation is astronomical and rather put the dampers on our hopes of spending a few months in the sunshine down under.

But, I refused to be deterred by this setback and kept saying to my Mum that all we need to do is visualise finding the perfect place to travel to this winter. Somewhere by the beach, where we have a fantastic, healthy, happy time and find a free, or very reasonably priced, place to stay.

Then, this afternoon, I was lying in bed (still not feeling the best) looking through Facebook on my phone, when in my newsfeed a post appeared asking if anyone in my area would be interested in doing a house swap with someone’s relative on the Gold Coast in Australia!!!

I laughed out loud – I couldn’t help myself! And I offered up a massive thank you to the Universe for this great big hunk of driftwood. (For those who don’t know, driftwood is a sign that your dreams are manifesting.)

I have never seen anyone offering house swaps for any destination in the world on this particular Facebook group before. It is a local group for selling second hand items, so seeing something related to Australia on there is nothing short of miraculous.

I’ve sent a message asking for further details about the swap and we shall wait and see. Even if it doesn’t work out, it just shows that something even better is on it’s way. I just know it!

Day 308, Reason 308: Today I am so very happy, excited and grateful for my great big hunk of Australian driftwood! Yippee! 🙂
