Banishing The PMS Blues – Day 106 of The Pollyanna Plan

sad_bull_dog

Ok, so I know I’ve probably lost half of you (that’ll be the men) at the mere mention of PMS in the title of this post, but today’s reason to feel glad/happy/joyful is too good not to share. I won’t go into gory details, I promise!

You see, it just occurred to me today, as that time of the month looms, that I haven’t been suffering from my normal PMS symptoms this month.

Now, I feel I must clarify the type of PMS I suffer from, as a friend once told me that she knew she had to do something about her PMS, when one month she wanted to kill her husband for leaving the kitchen cupboard door ajar. She sorted out her symptoms with the help of some herbs and her husband is still very much alive, so it’s all good. But, just so you know, I don’t suffer from the homicidal type PMS (thankfully.)

Instead, I usually start feeling miserable for no apparent reason and become overly emotional and liable to burst into tears at the drop of a hat. In short, I become an emotional wreck for a few days each month, which isn’t much fun.

But, not so this month. In fact, despite not being too well for the past few days, I’ve remained feeling very positive, happy and optimistic…and not a single tear in sight. Woohoo!

Although, I realise that I’ve just told a fib, as I did get all weepy at the TV programme “For The Love of Dogs” last night, when they discovered that a lovely, abandoned British Bulldog had a cyst on his spine and, even though the prognosis wasn’t too rosy, they still found him a loving home. But, welling up over that is totally normal, isn’t it?!

Day 106, Reason 106: Today I’m delighted to have banished the PMS blues this month.

And you know what the very best thing about this is? I believe it’s a sign that my body is healing. That makes me so happy, I could dance round the room – in fact, I think I will do just that….
