Making Changes – Day 71 of The Pollyanna Plan

Today saw the beginning of my new diet and, in turn, the start of my new life. 🙂

Yesterday, I received the results of the food intolerance blood test I had done a few weeks ago. Discovering that I’m highly intolerant to ALL grains, dairy and eggs (among many other things) meant that finding something to eat for breakfast this morning was a little tricky.

I think I’m going to have to sit down and plan out some meals until I get used to this new, very restricted diet, which will now be my way of life. I might also have to learn how to cook a little better. Yikes! But, hey, I’m positive that the benefits of not eating all the foods I’m intolerant to will far outweigh the craving for carbs! I truly believe this is a huge step forward in my quest for better health.

This morning I packaged up the handmade items I’ve been busy making all week and took them to the post office to ship to my customer. I hope she likes them! Then, my Mum and I headed down to the beach for a coffee (or in my case a water.) We sat outside the café in the warm sunshine, shielded from the cold north wind and looked out across the ocean. Bliss! It’s been months since I’ve been well enough to go to a café, so it felt like a real treat and I raised my glass (of water) in a toast to the changes I am making and the good health and energy which will surely follow.

Day 71, Reason 71: Today I am celebrating the changes I am making in my life.

I’m feeling really motivated!

    1. I had bacon with potatoes and carrots sautéed in coconut oil. And today I had cold roast beef and sautéed sweet potato. Not your typical breakfast!! I’d rather have cereal and toast, but needs must!
