Day 59, Reason 59: Today I am thankful for The Gratitude Game, which has helped to rekindle my creativity.
After a better night’s sleep, the world seems a much brighter, happier place today. I feel refreshed, recharged and ready to continue on my journey towards good health and happy, joyful days.
Last night, I came across a blog post, entitled “Gratitude’s Got Game” by Jennifer Flint – The Aura Reader. It describes an exercise designed to stimulate the Law of Attraction, which really inspired me. So, today, I decided to give it a go.
As I went about my morning, I made a conscious decision to give thanks (out loud) to the items I was using. It sounds a little crazy (or a lot crazy,) I know, but once I started, it really helped to clear away the cobwebs of yesterday.
I began by thanking my toothbrush for keeping my teeth clean and healthy. Next, I thanked the safe, clean water I drink and wash with. Then, my warm, comfy bed, my wardrobe full of clothes and the nourishing food I eat. I could continue, but I’m sure you get the picture. I genuinely felt extremely grateful for all the inanimate objects in my life and it was the perfect way to start the day.
As my mood continued to lift and soar, I turned my attention to an item I’m in the middle of making to sell in my online shop. I’ve been meaning to finish it for a while, but I haven’t felt well enough. When I’m unwell, it feels like my creativity drains away, but this morning, buoyed up by the Gratitude Game and with my health improved slightly, I set to work.
I also had the energy to sort through a big box, kindly given to me by a family friend when she moved abroad, and was amazed to find it stuffed full of craft goodies. I discovered beautiful beads, jewels, sequins, ribbons and materials and I even found the perfect fabric to finish off my item. As I delved into this box full of treasures, picking up and admiring all the beautiful items, I felt my creativity begin to spark and rekindle. I imagined all the wonderful things I could create and feel excited and eager to get started.
